I would like to start off by saying, thank you to all those who have made a contribution by donating time, money or supplies to our charity "1hope".
On September 29th a devastating tsunami hit Samoa and wiped out entire villages and killed over 100 people. That tragic event not only affected the many lives there, but also affected family, friends and communities here in the United States. I have a deep love for the Polynesian and Samoan people. Many teammates during my years with Utah were from Samoa. From my very first days as a freshman they always made sure I was fed and OK in Utah. I am trying to repay their generosity and what they taught me as a person. I took on the challenge to help in any way I could as soon as I heard about the tsunami so I joined my friends crimsonutes.com, The Polynesian coaches association and the University of Utah in 1HOPE. I am very fortunate to be able to help with this cause and I am very confident that "WE ALL" can do our part and help the thousands of families and children to re-establish there lives in Samoa. Our focus is to rebuild the schools so the children will have the bright future their parents always wanted them to have.
Here is something you all can do,
visit our site at: http:www.1hopeunited.org click donate and make a contribution, it’s that easy. Let's all be a part of a great cause! Stop by and see me at the 5th south booth at the stadium on the 24th for the Air Force game. We are asking everyone to donate one dollar that will go to rebuild the schools in Samoa. Remember you can never give too much, give what you can. Thank you and God Bless us in our efforts to bless our Brothers and Sister in Samoa.
